For over 50 years, the Burger King crown has symbolized one belief: everyone is treated like royalty. But despite being designed as a universal icon, it wasn’t truly universal - it didn’t fit all hairstyles. In Brazil, where afro-textured hair is a powerful expression of identity and cultural pride, the classic crown simply didn’t work. A symbol meant to include everyone was unintentionally excluding many. So Burger King redesigned its most iconic asset, evolving the shape of the crown to properly fit and celebrate authentic afro hairstyles.
