The Camera for an analog life

PolaroidTo launch Polaroid’s newest easy-to-use camera, the Flip, we put it to the test in the most analog way possible. Paying tribute to its retro roots while celebrating its modern features, we focused on three key elements: Flash, Lenses, and Sonar. Under the The Camera for an Analog Life we tested Polaroid’s Sonar technology, originally invented in 1978, and visualized sound waves in real time using a Schlieren mirror. To highlight the new four-lens hyperfocal system, we revealed the internal mechanics of the Flip, showing how it intelligently selects the sharpest lens for each shot. And lastly, for the Flash, we created a club-like flash sculpture made from over 30 Polaroid cameras, delivering a dazzling burst of light that captures moments perfectly, no matter the lighting condition.
